IBM Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody is an integrated, systems engineering environment for analyzing project requirements. It uses the OMG Systems Modeling Language™ (OMG SysML) to enable rapid requirements analysis and visual, model-based design. Models may be verified and validated through execution and simulation. Rhapsody for Systems Engineers helps systems engineering teams design complex functionality in less time.

AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture) is a worldwide development partnership of vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, service providers and companies from the automotive electronics, semiconductor, and software industry. AUTOSAR is an open and standardized automotive software architecture, which supports standardization in interfaces between application software and basic vehicular functions and it helps in establishing common ECU software architecture.

This Quick Start will introduce you to the process of going from a systems engineering model created with SysML and the HarmonyMBE process, to an AUTOSAR ARXML file.
