This course is for anyone wanting to learn for the first time about the capabilities of IBM App Connect for Manufacturing, which builds on IBM App Connect Enterprise to support the manufacturing industry.

You gain a good understanding of the concepts and use of IBM App Connect for Manufacturing. You also gain practical hands-on experience through exercises to install IBM App Connect for Manufacturing for Developers and develop, deploy, and run applications to use IBM App Connect for Manufacturing in a simulated OPC UA manufacturing environment.

This course is based onIBM App Connect for Manufacturing 3.0 with IBM App Connect Enterprise 12.0.

Syllabus

Understand the essential features and uses of IBM App Connect for Manufacturing to develop and monitor integration solutions to transform, enrich, route, and process business messages and data
Use the IBM App Connect Enterprise toolkit in a simple way to create and test an integration solution that uses OPC to MQTT communication
Integrate OPC Servers with IBM App Connect applications by using the OPC nodes
Use the MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT) connectivity protocol for publish/subscribe services
Create and use an integration server as a local runtime on premises
Deploy the applications (of the integration solution) into the integration server, and then use an OPC UA Simulation Server, MQTT server (to receive the messages and publish them), and local MQTT client (to visualize the messages) to test the integration solution
