Human rights: global and local protection

The course Human Rights: Global and Local Protection will equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to integrate human rights approach in their profession, and, on the other hand, to acquire sufficient understanding of human rights to contribute to enrichment of the latter. Students will widen the understanding of human rights from seemingly legalistic notions remote from their professional reality to beneficial and empowering concepts. In particular, students will learn to recognize human rights issues and to link them with the key concepts. Last but not the least, students will learn how respect for human rights advances key social values.
