The TLAR (“That Looks About Right”) IOS app is designed to assist with pre-flight planning and in-flight decision making if a power loss occurs. This briefing will walk a pilot through a successful turnback beginning with a building block approach to teach proper handling skills, pre-flight/pre-takeoff planning, use of the TLAR app, the takeoff, engine failure, TLAR displays, and techniques for piloting a turnback, including use of AoA.
