This FAA developed online course, False Targets While Ground Testing - ADS-B, addresses the problem of generating false TCAS and ADS-B targets in the National Airspace System. ADS-B system design and operation are explained. Regulations for ADS-B are discussed. How false targets are generated and corrective actions to prevent false targets are shared. The one hour video is first observed, then a knowledge validation test is taken to complete the course and qualify for 1 hour AMT Credit and 1 hour IA Refresher Training.
