Syllabus

This course is organized into four core modules, each focusing on a key area of process planning, factory design and flow simulation, and robotics programming:

  1. Module 1: 3DEXPERIENCE platform Industrial Engineering basics for Education

    • In this module, you will learn how to get started with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and prepare your academic environment for industrial engineering activities.

    • Key Skills: Collaborative Spaces, 3DDrive, IP Classify, PLM fundamentals, Bookmarks and Libraries

2\\\\. Module 2: Process Engineering for Education

    • In this module, you will learn how to create your Product- Process-Resource (PPR) data set with 3D Work Instructions using DELMIA Production Engineering Applications.

    • Key Skills: DELMIA PPR Model, Manufacturing Bill of Materials, Bill of Process, Resource Planning and Work Instructions

  1. Module 3: Layout & Flow Simulation for Education

    • In this module, you will learn how to design a virtual factory layout from scratch, including creating and configuring equipment, defining flows, and performing detailed analysis of factory performance. You will also explore how to run simulations for various “what-if” scenarios, identify resource utilization issues, and optimize throughput.

    • Key Skills: Plant layout design, flow simulation, resource management, and performance optimization.

  2. Module 4: Robotics for Education

    • This module introduces you to the fundamentals of robotics programming. You will create virtual twins of robotic stations, define robot trajectories, and learn how to program robots offline. The module covers both simple and complex robot tasks, and you’ll get hands-on experience with simulating multiple robot cells working concurrently in a virtual environment.

    • Key Skills: Robotic cell design, robot programming (offline), task creation, and multi-robot simulation.
