The Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) Track is designed for developers who want to build, deploy, and maintain modern cloud applications using Microsoft Azure. Whether you’re a junior software developer, a recent computer science graduate, or an engineer looking to specialize in cloud development, this track gives you the practical skills needed to succeed as an Azure Developer. Starting from core Azure concepts, you’ll progress through the full application lifecycle on Azure. You’ll learn how to implement and manage compute solutions using Azure App Service, containers, and Azure Functions; design scalable storage solutions with Azure Blob Storage and Azure Cosmos DB; and secure applications using the Microsoft Identity platform, Azure Key Vault, and managed identities. You’ll also explore how to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using Azure-native tools like Application Insights, caching solutions, and content delivery networks. Finally, you’ll connect Azure applications to external and third-party services using API Management and event- and message-based architectures such as Event Grid, Service Bus, and Event Hubs.
