Syllabus

Leveraging Lookup Formulas
- This module teaches learners how to efficiently retrieve and manipulate data using Excel's lookup functions. It covers VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX, and XLOOKUP, focusing on their strengths, limitations, and practical applications. Students will learn to handle errors, retrieve multiple results, and improve data navigation skills.
Transforming Text and Numbers
- This module teaches learners how to manipulate and transform text and numerical data in Excel using a variety of functions and tools. It covers techniques for cleaning, merging, and restructuring data efficiently. By the end, learners will be able to handle text formatting and data splitting with confidence.
Harnessing Logic Functions
- This module explores the use of logic functions in Excel to automate decision-making and improve data accuracy. Learners will discover how to manage multiple conditions, handle errors, and aggregate data using functions like IFS, SUMIFS, COUNTIF, and error-checking tools. By the end, they will be able to create more reliable and efficient spreadsheets.
Carving Data with Dynamic Arrays
- This module covers techniques for managing and manipulating dynamic data using functions like UNIQUE, SORT, and FILTER. Learners will gain skills in organizing, removing duplicates, and filtering data efficiently, as well as understanding how to resolve common issues like the #SPILL! error. The content focuses on practical applications of dynamic array functions to improve data accuracy and performance.
Tracing and Debugging Formulas
- This module equips learners with essential techniques for tracing and debugging formulas in Excel, including identifying dependent cells, evaluating complex calculations, and using error-checking tools to improve spreadsheet accuracy and efficiency.
Navigating Through Worksheets and Workbooks
- This module teaches essential skills for efficiently navigating and managing spreadsheets, including using Go To, custom views, and splitting windows. Learners will gain confidence in moving through large datasets and organizing workbook layouts. The content covers practical techniques for improving productivity in Excel.
Visualizing and Summarizing Data
- This module teaches learners how to effectively summarize and visualize data using Excel tools such as PivotTables, charts, and templates. It covers the creation, customization, and management of visual elements to communicate insights clearly. Learners will gain practical skills in transforming raw data into meaningful reports.
