  • So You Want to Know about Cost Accounting
    • This module introduces the fundamentals of cost accounting, including its role in decision-making, cost analysis, and pricing strategies. Learners will explore how cost accounting differs from financial accounting and how it supports profitability through effective cost management. Practical applications include calculating full product costs and evaluating pricing strategies.
  • Brushing Up on Cost Accounting Basics
    • This module introduces core cost accounting concepts, including direct and indirect costs, fixed and variable costs, and GAAP principles. It provides learners with the foundational knowledge needed to understand how costs are identified, categorized, and applied in various industries. By the end, learners will be equipped to analyze and apply cost accounting basics in real-world scenarios.
  • Using Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis to Plan Your Business Results
    • This module teaches how to use cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis to evaluate business performance, calculate breakeven points, and set profit goals. Learners will explore how to apply CVP concepts to both traditional and e-commerce businesses, as well as understand the impact of sales mix on profitability.
  • Estimating Costs with Job Costing
    • This module covers the fundamentals of job costing, including when to use it versus process costing, how to distinguish and calculate direct and indirect costs, and how to apply job costing in both manufacturing and IT projects. Learners will gain practical skills in cost estimation and allocation methods.
  • More Activity, More Cost: Activity-Based Costing
    • This module covers the principles and application of activity-based costing (ABC) to improve cost accuracy in business decision-making. Learners will explore how to identify cost drivers, design ABC systems, and use the method for better financial analysis and strategic pivoting.
  • What's the Plan, Stan? Budgeting for a Better Bottom Line
    • This module covers the fundamentals of budgeting, including how to analyze financial data, evaluate data collection strategies, and leverage AI and data analytics to improve decision-making. Learners will explore the impact of business decisions on financial outcomes and gain insights into effective budget planning techniques.
  • Constant Change: Variance Analysis
    • This module covers the principles of variance analysis, including how to use standard cost systems, flexible budgets, and efficiency variances to evaluate financial performance and support better business decisions. Learners will gain the skills to identify and interpret variances, assess their impact, and apply findings to improve operational efficiency.
