Syllabus

Deployment Server and Client Setup
- This module introduces learners to Splunk’s deployment architecture, focusing on setting up the Deployment Server, managing forwarder configurations, and automating app distribution across client environments. Learners will gain hands-on experience in configuring deployment clients, organizing deployment apps, and maintaining consistent configurations across distributed Splunk instances.
Data Ingestion and Parsing
- This module explores Splunk’s data ingestion framework, covering the entire flow from data input to parsing and indexing. Learners will learn to configure inputs, understand parsing logic, and implement indexing functions that ensure accurate and efficient data processing within Splunk environments.
Monitoring and Input Management
- This module focuses on Splunk’s monitoring console and input management system, teaching learners to monitor forwarder connectivity, manage monitored directories, and optimize input configurations. Learners will gain practical skills in troubleshooting input bottlenecks, handling multi-line logs, and customizing monitoring rules for large-scale environments.
Forwarding, Queues, and Data Feed
- This module provides an in-depth understanding of Splunk data forwarding mechanisms, queue management, and load balancing. Learners will configure data feeds, manage queue hierarchies, enable indexer acknowledgment, and troubleshoot data transmission bottlenecks for scalable and fault-tolerant Splunk deployments.
Scripted and Windows Inputs
