Syllabus

Building the Prometheus Foundation

This module introduces learners to the fundamentals of Prometheus monitoring by guiding them through environment setup, installation, and core tools. Learners will configure Prometheus, integrate Grafana, and begin working with exporters to collect system metrics. By the end of this module, learners will have a fully functional Prometheus lab environment.

Cloud Integration and Alerting

This module focuses on integrating Prometheus with cloud services and configuring alerts. Learners will connect AWS CloudWatch with Prometheus, set up Alertmanager, and secure dashboards. By completing this module, learners will be able to extend monitoring into cloud environments and implement reliable alerting pipelines.

Advanced Querying and Visualization

This module explores advanced Prometheus capabilities, including PromQL operators, functions, Pushgateway, and application-level exporters. Learners will also work with alert rules and advanced Grafana visualization techniques to create insightful dashboards.
