Patterns of Inheritance

In this course, we’ll see how sexual reproduction creates the diversity of life we see. We’ll see how each sex cell produced, a gamete, represents a random assortment of the chromosomes of the original cell. Understanding this allows us to predict the offspring of another random process, fertilization. And this will lead us to understand our own genetic heritage through the use of pedigree analysis.
