This course features Coursera Coach! A smarter way to learn with interactive, real-time conversations that help you test your knowledge, challenge assumptions, and deepen your understanding as you progress through the course. Develop practical security testing skills across Linux, Windows, web applications, networks, shells, and scripting. Learn how attackers identify weaknesses, gain controlled shell access, analyze traffic, validate file integrity, and use common offensive security tools safely in lab environments. The course starts with Linux fundamentals, file operations, permissions, processes, and Windows Sysinternals, then moves to web vulnerabilities, Nikto, OWASP ZAP, file inclusion attacks, insecure uploads, OWASP Top 10 risks, and browser exploitation. Next, explore packet capture with Wireshark and tcpdump, wireless assessment with Kismet, Wifite, and Aircrack-ng, automated reconnaissance with SN1PER, and Bash scripting for automation. Learn John the Ripper, Netcat, Socat, MSFVenom, Metasploit, Meterpreter, FTP exploitation, EternalBlue, and persistence remediation. This course is ideal for cybersecurity learners, ethical hacking students, and IT professionals with basic Linux and networking knowledge. By the end of the course, you will be able to identify web and network vulnerabilities, automate tasks, establish and stabilize shells, and use Metasploit-based workflows safely.
