You will gain insights into the key elements of networking, the importance of certifications like CompTIA Network+, and the tools required for troubleshooting and securing networks. This section sets the foundation for diving deeper into the world of networking and its applications in modern IT environments.

Network Models

In this module, we will explore the two primary models used to describe and troubleshoot network interactions. We’ll dive into the OSI model, its seven layers, and how these concepts are essential for understanding networking. By mastering these models, you will gain a deeper understanding of how data flows across networks and how to troubleshoot various network issues efficiently.

Cabling and Topology

In this module, we will examine the physical components of networking, including cabling types and network topologies. You’ll learn about the strengths and weaknesses of various cabling systems, such as coaxial, twisted pair, and fiber optics, and understand how network topologies like star, mesh, and hybrid influence data flow and network performance.
