  • Introduction to Microservices
    • This module introduces the fundamentals of microservice architecture, highlighting both its advantages and the unique challenges it presents compared to monolithic systems. Learners will explore key design patterns, practical solutions for configuration and resilience, and essential considerations for building scalable, manageable microservices.
  • Introduction to Spring Boot
    • This module introduces the fundamentals of building microservices with Spring Boot 3.5, including REST API development with Spring WebFlux, configuration management, and Docker-based deployment. Learners will explore best practices for rapid application development, entity modeling, and migration strategies from previous Spring Boot versions.
  • Creating a Set of Cooperating Microservices
    • This module guides learners through the process of generating, configuring, and integrating multiple microservices using Spring and Gradle. You will build RESTful APIs, set up multi-project builds, implement a composite service for data aggregation, and explore both manual and automated testing strategies for microservice landscapes.
  • Deploying Our Microservices Using Docker
    • This module guides learners through the process of containerizing microservices using Docker, managing multi-service environments with Docker Compose, and automating deployment and testing workflows. Participants will gain hands-on experience with Docker commands, resource management, and integrating code changes for seamless microservice deployment.
  • Adding an API Description Using OpenAPI
    • This module guides learners through the process of integrating OpenAPI documentation into RESTful microservices using springdoc-openapi. Participants will configure documentation in Java projects, annotate API interfaces for clarity, and deploy the microservice landscape to visualize and test API documentation with Swagger UI.
  • Adding Persistence
    • This module guides learners through implementing data persistence in microservices using Spring Data with MongoDB and JPA, configuring repositories, and integrating persistence layers into service logic. Learners will also set up database containers with Docker Compose, write and update persistence tests, and configure database connections for robust microservice operation.
  • Developing Reactive Microservices
    • This module guides learners through building scalable and resilient microservices using reactive programming techniques. You will explore the implementation of non-blocking synchronous REST APIs and event-driven asynchronous services, as well as how to test these systems with RabbitMQ and Kafka. Practical examples and configuration tips are provided to help you choose and implement the right approach for your microservice architecture.
