Use STM32 HAL APIs to develop firmware and peripheral drivers while learning how to extract implementation details from datasheets and reference manuals. STM32 HAL APIs provide a portable way to work with microcontroller peripherals while hiding much of the low-level device complexity. This course helps learners use those APIs deliberately, combining HAL convenience with an understanding of the underlying architecture and documentation. The curriculum starts with documentation, STM32CubeIDE setup, HAL packages, Cortex-M architecture, and GPIO fundamentals. It then develops drivers for UART, SysTick and general-purpose timers, ADC, interrupts, DMA, SPI, I2C, RTC, RCC, PWM, and related communication or timing features using a programming-based approach. Rather than treating HAL as a black box, learners practice reading reference manuals and datasheets to guide firmware decisions. The result is stronger confidence in building, configuring, and troubleshooting STM32 applications; by the end of this course, learners can develop HAL-based drivers across the main STM32 peripheral families. STM32 learners, embedded software developers, and firmware engineers who want practical HAL-based driver development. Appropriate for developers who know basic C and want to work with GPIO, UART, timers, ADC, interrupts, DMA, SPI, I2C, RTC, and RCC through STM32CubeIDE. Lessons combine documentation navigation with direct HAL-based coding. Learners build one peripheral driver family at a time while reinforcing Cortex-M and STM32 concepts. The sequence moves from GPIO and communication basics to timing, interrupts, DMA, and real-time clock features.
