Syllabus

  • Course Introduction
    • In this module, we will introduce the course by outlining its structure, goals, and expected outcomes. You’ll also meet the course author and learn about their expertise. By the end of this section, you'll be ready to download and install Articulate Storyline 360 to begin your journey in course creation.
  • Introduction to Storyline 360
    • In this module, we will guide you through the basics of Storyline 360, from quickly starting a new project to customizing your workspace. You’ll familiarize yourself with Storyline’s user interface and learn how to adjust project settings to fit various formats. By the end, you’ll be well-equipped to use Storyline 360’s core features and integrate it with the full Articulate 360 suite.
  • Creating Basic Page Layouts
    • In this module, we will guide you through the process of building basic page layouts in Storyline 360. You will learn to generate scripts using AI, format text, and use shapes and images to enhance your design. Additionally, you’ll discover how to organize elements, apply layers, and create interactive object states to make your project more engaging. By the end of this section, you will be able to create clean, structured, and interactive page layouts.
  • Working with External Media
    • In this module, we will explore how to enrich your Storyline 360 projects by working with external media. You’ll learn to incorporate characters, images, icons, and videos from Storyline’s Content Library, as well as import your own audio and video files. Additionally, we will cover how to add cue points to synchronize actions and ensure your project is accessible by using captions and other features. By the end of this section, you’ll have the skills to enhance your projects with diverse media while maintaining accessibility.
  • Animating Your Pages
    • In this module, we will focus on animating your pages in Storyline 360 to create dynamic, engaging content. You will learn how to use the timeline to control animations, apply motion paths, and add entrance, exit, and emphasis animations to bring your slides to life. By the end of this section, you will be able to use advanced animation techniques to enhance your projects and capture the attention of your audience.
  • Creating Quizzes
    • In this module, we will dive into the process of creating quizzes in Storyline 360, enabling you to assess learner knowledge effectively. You’ll learn how to track user inputs with different types of variables and adjust values based on user actions. Additionally, we’ll dive into how to apply conditions for controlling element behaviors and build dynamic interactions like dials and sliders.   • Adjusting the Course Player

Additionally, we’ll cover how to manage resources and glossary sections, and the process for translating your course into multiple languages.   • Publishing Your Course
    • In this module, we will guide you through the process of publishing your Storyline 360 course, from gathering feedback with Articulate Review to testing your SCORM-published course. You will learn how to back up and manage versions, and explore publishing options such as SCORM, xAPI/cmi5, and using built-in features for real-world scenarios. By the end of this section, you’ll be equipped to publish, test, and maintain your course, ensuring it’s ready for distribution and use in various learning environments.
  • Storyline in Action: Drag and Drop
    • In this extensive module, we will guide you through the process of creating interactive drag-and-drop activities in Storyline 360. You’ll learn how to design custom backgrounds, instruction bars, draggable objects, and drop zones. Additionally, we will cover how to customize submit buttons, manage layers for feedback, and track user performance with score variables. You’ll also explore advanced options for publishing and sharing your drag-and-drop templates, ensuring you can create a dynamic and engaging experience for your learners. By the end of this section, you'll be able to design and implement comprehensive drag-and-drop interactions with detailed feedback and scoring.
  • Storyline in Action: Tab Interaction
    • In this module, we will dive into creating interactive tab-based designs in Storyline 360. You will learn how to build and customize tabs, create interactive layers for content, and animate the interaction based on user clicks. Additionally, we will explore how to track user progress with states, use background faders to focus attention, and manage hints to guide users. By the end of this section, you’ll have the skills to create engaging and visually appealing tab interactions while maintaining efficient project organization and reusability.
  • Storyline in Action: Building a Jeopardy-Style Game
    • In this module, we will guide you through the process of building an engaging Jeopardy-style game in Storyline 360. You’ll learn to design custom graphics, set up interactive layers for questions and feedback, and create a dynamic score-tracking system. Additionally, we will cover how to manage game logic with row variables and ensure the game completes based on user performance. By the end of this section, you’ll be able to design, customize, and publish your own Jeopardy-style game, and save it as a reusable template for future eLearning projects.
  • Storyline in Action: Building a Memory Game
    • In this module, we will walk you through the process of creating an interactive memory game in Storyline 360. You will learn how to design the game board, create matching pairs, and use layers for dynamic game elements. Additionally, we will cover how to implement variables to track matched items, modify item states, and add scoring to reward successful matches. By the end of this section, you’ll be able to create a fully functional and engaging memory game that can be used in your eLearning projects.
