Course Introduction and App Development

In this module, we will introduce you to the world of Apple app development, covering essential requirements such as the necessary hardware and software tools. You’ll also set up your development environment to ensure you’re ready to start building apps using Apple’s advanced tools, including Xcode, Apple’s integrated development environment.

Apple Intelligence

In this module, we will explore Apple’s approach to intelligence, focusing on its machine learning and AI tools. You’ll learn how Apple integrates AI into its ecosystem, how models are structured, and how pre-trained models can be used to power intelligent applications for iOS, macOS, and beyond.

Xcode

In this module, we will explore Xcode, Apple’s integrated development environment (IDE), and its powerful features to assist with app development. You’ll learn how to use Xcode’s code completion, coding assistant, and model integration capabilities to streamline your coding workflow and enhance your app’s functionality with machine learning.

Integrated Tools

In this module, we will dive into Apple’s integrated tools, such as the Image Playground and Image Creator, for rapid testing and creating visual elements for machine learning applications. You'll also explore Genmojis for creating AI-driven emojis and learn how to apply these tools in an advanced implementation project, pushing the boundaries of app functionality.

Foundation Models Framework

In this module, we will explore Apple’s Foundation Models framework, a powerful tool for building and optimizing machine learning models. You’ll learn how to guide model behaviors using instructions, implement real-time streaming and sampling, and integrate external tools to maximize the performance and adaptability of your apps.

Text Models

In this module, we will focus on text models and how they enable your app to process and understand natural language. You’ll learn about text recognition, translation tasks, and how to implement powerful features like word embeddings to enhance your app’s language processing capabilities.

Vision Framework

In this module, we will explore Apple’s Vision Framework, a powerful tool for analyzing images and video. You’ll learn how to implement features like image classification, face detection, text recognition, and more to bring advanced computer vision capabilities into your apps

Audio Models

In this module, we will cover how to leverage Apple’s audio models for speech analysis, transcription, and translation. You’ll explore voice synthesis tools to create dynamic voice interactions, as well as how to configure and manage voice preferences for a personalized user experience.

Siri

In this module, we will explore how to integrate Siri with your app, enabling voice-activated commands and actions. You’ll learn to implement app shortcuts, manage voice parameters, and ensure smooth communication between Siri and your app for an enhanced user experience.

Additional Models

In this module, we will introduce additional machine learning models, including custom models created with Create ML, and explore the integration of external models such as OpenAI. You’ll also learn how to use APIs to integrate external functionality, enhancing your app’s capabilities beyond the Apple ecosystem.

Neural Networks

In this module, we will dive into the inner workings of neural networks and their applications in machine learning. You’ll learn how to build, train, and optimize neural networks using advanced techniques like forward propagation and backpropagation, and apply Apple’s MLX framework to your app development.
