Through short videos, real-world case scenarios, hands-on practice, and guided coaching, you’ll learn to apply structured communication, lead collaborative problem-solving, and model accountability—even in the toughest team moments. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped to lead your team with clarity, empathy, and resilience—no matter the tension in the room.

  • Lesson 1: Navigating Nursing Teams: Applying Conflict Resolution Strategies
    • In this introductory lesson, learners will explore evidence-based conflict resolution strategies essential for effective nursing leadership. Through real-world case studies—such as using mediation to address recurring scheduling disputes and applying the DESC script to manage ICU team tensions—they'll examine how structured communication techniques can de-escalate conflict and strengthen team dynamics. Emphasis will be placed on assertive dialogue, emotional regulation, and fostering psychological safety in high-pressure clinical settings.
  • Lesson 2: Resolving Team Tensions with Proven Leadership Frameworks
    • In this lesson, learners will explore how to resolve team-based tensions using structured leadership tools designed for real-world nursing challenges. They'll apply frameworks like DESC, SBAR, and root cause analysis to navigate high-stakes disagreements—such as communication breakdowns during shift handoffs or escalating friction between clinical team members. By diagnosing sources of misalignment and practicing response strategies, learners will gain the skills to restore trust, reinforce accountability, and lead with clarity under pressure.
  • Lesson 3: Guiding Teams Through Conflict: Resilient Leadership in Action
    • In this lesson, learners will explore how to lead clinical teams through tension and recovery with clarity, empathy, and resilience. They’ll apply practical leadership behaviors—like reflective listening, behavioral modeling, and structured debriefs—to guide teams through conflict and back to collaboration. Through real-world case studies and team-based scenarios, learners will build the skills to respond constructively, foster emotional safety, and rebuild trust after high-pressure situations. By the end of this lesson, learners will be equipped to lead conversations that promote shared accountability and lasting problem-solving.
