Syllabus

Azure AI services integration

Specialize your agent development skills by creating a medical information assistant with appropriate safety boundaries and compliance considerations. You'll explore the full Azure AI Services ecosystem, test healthcare-specific implementations, and develop a strategic approach to service selection based on domain requirements.

Advanced language understanding

Learn about sophisticated language processing by implementing medical terminology understanding, context-aware conversations, and intelligent information retrieval. You'll configure intent recognition for symptoms and procedures, maintain conversation context across interactions, and integrate Azure AI Search while understanding the limitations of UI-based approaches.

Advanced agent orchestration and programmatic development

Transition from visual development to code as you implement Azure Functions for complex agent behaviors and external API integrations. You'll build custom medical tools for symptom analysis and drug lookups, orchestrate multi-step workflows, and understand when programmatic development becomes essential for advanced capabilities.

Production workflows and testing

Implement automation using Logic Apps for patient intake workflows and approval processes with proper error handling.
