The MD-102 certification prepares candidates to be Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrators by mastering the full lifecycle of deploying, configuring, securing, managing, and troubleshooting modern endpoints. By completing this course, learners will know how to deploy Windows devices, configure compliance and security policies, manage applications, protect data, and monitor endpoint health across hybrid and cloud‑native environments. Learners will explore how Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, and cloud‑based identity work together to deliver a secure, scalable, and efficient endpoint management strategy. They’ll gain practical experience with Autopilot, Intune device configuration, update management, conditional access, and troubleshooting tools used every day in enterprise environments. This course delivers the knowledge and confidence to support modern mobile organizations.

Syllabus

  • Introduction to the Microsoft Endpoint Administrator exam and Intune
    • An introduction to endpoint administration and the certification MD-102. This includes what is required to pass the exam and ideas on how to prep for it.
  • Prepare infrastructure for devices
    • This module will demonstrate how to prepare the environment for mobile device management and also add devices into Entra ID to be future-joined to Intune.
  • Enrollment, identity, and compliance
    • We demonstrate how devices are added into Intune for the first time with multiple different mobile types as well as operating systems. Policies for compliance are also discussed and demonstrated.
  • Deploy clients using autopilot
    • Autopilot is demonstrated so that admins see how to enroll the device and push out applications during the initial phase of deployment.
  • Implement device configuration profiles
    • Configuration profiles ensure that devices are set up in a way that is in compliance with the organization. Watch how to set up these profiles using Windows and other device operating systems.
  • Implement Intune Suite add-on capabilities
    • The Microsoft Intune Suite is a collection of advanced, premium capabilities layered over core Intune management. It unifies IT and security operations by providing specialized tools for remote support, application management, privileged access, analytics, and infrastructure security.
  • Perform remote actions on devices
    • Intune can perform many remote actions depending on the device. It can wipe, retire, lock, and rotate keys.
  • Deploy and update apps
    • Deploying and updating applications in Microsoft Intune involves utilizing different methods based on the app type. Admins use the enterprise app catalog, win32 apps, or native store apps to push, update, and manage software seamlessly across enterprise devices.
  • Implement app protection and configuration policies
    • App protection policies (MAM) protect corporate data within applications, while app configuration policies pre-configure app settings before deployment.
  • Configure endpoint security
    • Configuring endpoint security in Microsoft Intune is managed through dedicated profiles under the endpoint security workspace. This allows you to centralize the deployment of antivirus, firewall, and attack surface reduction rules across your Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
  • Manage device updates using Intune
    • Microsoft Intune allows you to seamlessly manage and automate operating system updates across Windows, iOS/iPadOS, Android, and macOS devices. Updates are deployed directly from native platform services while Intune enforces your custom rollout schedules, deferrals.
