  • Another excellent course from Barbara Oakley, this time collaborating with AI expert Jules White.

I am familiar with and use AI but this course gave me plenty of different ideas to make more of the technology, both in the workplace and for learning. I can see myself returning to the videos in the future, to refresh and continue improving my skills.

    Thank you for this course!
  • Using ChatGPT as your learning coach can transform your learning practices and allow you to personalise your learning trajectory.
Use it as supplementary memory, a help in retrieval practice, looking for key concepts, summarising, getting provocative questions, ...
This course teaches you to use ChatGPT, or any other LLM, as your teaching assistant, with good prompting techniques to enhance your comprehension and learning.

I have challenges with remaining focused and found this course to be helpful in many respects. The first module I struggled to pay attention. 1st time taking the quiz I got 50% and after 2 more tries 90%. I liked what I was learning and the presentation. The 2nd module I wanted to do better. I was more engaged. I took notes, followed along with the transcripts and it held my attention. Not only did I learn more about AI but I got 100% on the quiz the 1st take and want to learn more. My goal is to be one of the people using Ai, not one that is replaced by not using it.

Easy to understand course. only complaint was I had to put playback at 1.75 speed just to get through it. Great instructors, they just need to speak a bit faster. After I turned it up all was good. Thanks.

I have been interested in genAI development for some time now, and have bought and read Barbara's books, done in Coursera the Learning How to Learn course, and also Ethan Mollick's book and newsletter.
This course sort of sums everything up, and brings up to date the best ways of communicating and using AI, which is, I believe, the whole point.
Clear, concise and illuminating, it was all I expected from Coursera and the teachers.

I had just watched two YouTube interviews (Yuval Noah Harari and Mo Gawdat) on AI and came to an understanding that while AI may not replace us, those who don't learn to use it effectively will be replaced by those who do. Hmm. As a devote of life-long learning and MOOCS, when Class Central informed me about this course, I was ready. I've always felt that learning how we learn is the key to the city of knowledge, and I'd taken Prof. Oakley's MOOC. This class gave me exactly what I need to understand to take the next step and start putting AI to better use. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to learn!

Interesting ideas on extra ways to interact with AI models (not just ChatGPT, of course) and improve your learning.
Not a lot, but well enough to be worth the time spent. I watched most of it in 1.6 to 2x - it is bit slow otherwise.
I had already Learning How to Learn (very good) and now I have added a few other courses by Dr. Jules White to my list.
