This course focuses on how to lead effectively in complex, changing and diverse environments. You’ll learn how to navigate organisational change, lead teams across different contexts and apply structured approaches to managing uncertainty and competing priorities. Through practical frameworks and real-world scenarios, you’ll explore how to lead diverse teams, build inclusive environments and strengthen communication across different working styles and cultures. You’ll also develop the skills to manage change effectively, support team wellbeing and maintain performance during periods of transition. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to apply practical leadership strategies, which improve team alignment, support change and help you lead with clarity and confidence in complex situations. It is primarily aimed at first- and second-year undergraduates interested in engineering or science, along with high school students and professionals with an interest in programming.

  • Persuasion Skills: Use Proven Psychological Techniques To Influence With Impact
    • This module explores how leaders use persuasion and influence to shape decisions, build alignment and strengthen relationships. You will examine the psychological drivers behind behaviour, including how people form opinions, respond to messaging and make decisions. The module focuses on practical communication techniques such as building rapport, interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues and adapting your message to different audiences. You will also learn how to influence ethically by using empathy, trust and clarity to guide conversations and achieve better outcomes.
  • Change Management: Implement Proven Methodologies To Enable An Effective Transformation (2 of 3)
    • This module focuses on implementing change management methodologies to deliver effective transformation. You will learn how to structure change initiatives, align stakeholders and apply communication strategies that support successful execution. The emphasis is on translating change plans into measurable outcomes and sustaining long-term transformation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead Diverse Global Teams With Cultural Awareness And Effective Communication
    • This module explores how cultural differences influence communication, collaboration and leadership effectiveness. You will examine how to adapt your leadership approach across diverse teams and develop the skills needed to manage global working relationships. The focus is on improving understanding, reducing misalignment and strengthening team performance.
  • Team Leadership: Build Cohesive Hybrid And Remote Teams To Increase Productivity And Engagement
    • This module examines the challenges and opportunities of leading hybrid and remote teams. You will learn how to maintain engagement, build trust and create structure in distributed environments. The module focuses on communication, accountability and leadership behaviours that support consistent productivity and team cohesion.
  • Diversity And Inclusion: Master Inclusive Leadership Fundamentals To Lead Diverse Teams
    • This module introduces the principles of inclusive leadership and explores how diversity and bias influence team dynamics and decision-making. You will learn how to create inclusive environments where individuals feel valued and able to contribute. The focus is on applying inclusive practices that improve collaboration, innovation and team performance.
  • Mental Health: Promote Awareness In Teams To Build An Emotionally Intelligent Workforce
    • This module focuses on the role of mental health awareness in leadership and team performance. You will learn how to recognise signs of stress, support wellbeing and create psychologically safe environments. The emphasis is on building emotionally intelligent teams that can perform consistently in demanding environments.
  • Leadership Application: Build Your Leadership Playbook And Action Plan
    • This module brings together the key concepts from the Specialization into a practical, application-focused framework. You will develop your own leadership playbook by applying principles of change leadership, stakeholder influence and inclusive leadership to real-world scenarios. The module focuses on translating learning into action through structured reflection, scenario-based exercises and planning tools. By the end, you will create a personalised 90-day leadership experimentation plan to apply your skills in your own context and continue developing your leadership capability.
