This course will provide you with a basic introduction to Linux® skills using Red Hat® Enterprise Linux 9. It will show you how a Linux system is organized and will demonstrate introductory system administration tasks. Syllabus

What is Linux?
- In this module, you will learn the fundamentals of open source, Linux, Linux distributions, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You will understand the purpose of these technologies and how Red Hat Enterprise Linux fits within the broader Linux ecosystem.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Command Line Essentials
- In this module, you will learn how to log in to a Linux system and use the command line to run basic commands. You will explore the Bash shell and use shortcuts to work more efficiently at the terminal.
Getting Help in Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- In this module, you will learn how to find and use information from local Linux manual pages to understand commands and resolve questions while working on a system.
Editing Files
- In this module, you will learn how to manage command output using redirection and pipelines. You will also create and edit text files from the command line using the vim editor.
Software Management
- In this module, you will learn how to find, install, and update software packages using the dnf command. You will also understand how RPM packages are structured and how software is managed on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.
File Management from the Command Line
- In this module, you will learn how to create, copy, move, and remove files and directories. You will explore how Linux organizes files within the file-system hierarchy and work with absolute and relative paths to navigate the system.
Process Management and Systemd
- In this module, you will learn how to monitor and manage system processes. You will determine the status and resource usage of running programs and use systemd to control system services.
Manage Networking
- In this module, you will learn how to configure and manage network settings on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system. You will modify network configurations, manage connections, and control access to services using firewall rules.
User Management
- In this module, you will learn how to create and manage user and group accounts. You will configure secure remote access, use key-based authentication, synchronize files with remote systems, and manage privileged access using the superuser and sudo.
System Diagnostics
- In this module, you will learn how to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues. You will analyze running processes, interpret system journal entries, and identify resource-intensive activity on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.

- In this module, you will learn how to use the web-based management interface to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system.
