By the end, learners will be able to recognize and analyze the structural aspects and risk considerations that define bond investments.
  • Bond Pricing and Valuation
    • This module provides a structured approach to understanding bond pricing. Learners will study the mechanics of valuing bonds, from simple ordinary annuities to plain vanilla bonds, and explore how accrued interest affects pricing between payment periods. By completing this module, learners will acquire the skills to apply time value of money principles in real-world bond valuation.
  • Yields, Curves, and Duration
    • This module advances into yield measurement, yield curve analysis, and duration concepts. Learners will explore yield to maturity, the relationship between yields and bond prices, and the insights provided by normal, flat, and inverted yield curves. The module concludes with an in-depth study of duration and modified duration, equipping learners to measure and manage interest rate sensitivity in bond portfolios.
