Syllabus

  • Ethics Tree: Design Decision-Tree Architecture
    • Ethics discussions often remain abstract until they're embedded in decision workflows. This module teaches you to translate Microsoft's Responsible AI principles into a structured decision tree that product teams can use at key decision points. Decision trees create structure, but in practice, decisions may bypass or compress these steps under pressure.
  • Ethics Audit: Evaluate Decisions Against the Framework
    • A decision tree only creates value when it's used. This module teaches you to walk real decisions through your ethics framework, document risks and mitigations, and brief executive leadership on findings.
  • Checklist Design: Build Compliance Checklists
    • Decision trees guide thinking; checklists ensure completeness. This module teaches you to design compliance checklists that systematically checks whether requirements appear to be met before AI projects proceed.
  • Checklist Evaluation: Assess AI Pilots
    • A checklist reveals gaps only when applied rigorously to previous: and when results are critically interpreted rather than accepted at face value. This module teaches you to evaluate AI pilots against your compliance checklist, document gaps systematically, and create remediation plans that close gaps before deployment.
  • Stakeholder Mapping: Build the Power-Interest Grid
    • Not all stakeholders need the same engagement. This module teaches you to systematically map stakeholders by their power to influence outcomes and their interest in your initiative, then design tailored engagement tactics for each group.
  • Engagement Evaluation: Measure Trust and Adjust
    • Stakeholder engagement isn't "set and forget." This module teaches you to measure whether your engagement tactics are building trust using Viva Pulse surveys, then adjust tactics based on what the data reveals.
  • Project Module: Ethics and Responsible AI Toolkit
    • Integrate everything you've learned about ethics and responsible change into a portfolio-ready governance toolkit. In fast moving environments, these frameworks are often applied under pressure where speed, assumption, or overconfidence can introduce risk despite intentions. You'll create an ethics decision tree with embedded Responsible AI checkpoints, a compliance checklist aligned to Microsoft's six principles, and a stakeholder engagement playbook with a trust measurement strategy, documenting your approach in a format you can deploy immediately in your organization or showcase in leadership conversations. Who this is for: Leaders responsible for AI governance, change management, or ethics oversight who want a tangible deliverable demonstrating their ability to build practical governance frameworks. This project creates an artifact you can reference in compliance discussions, transformation initiatives, or executive presentations.
