By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision a cloud data warehouse - Analyze infrastructure cost versus performance across compute and storage options - Create a cross-region disaster recovery architecture with a 15-minute Recovery Point Objective This course is unique because it combines hands-on Terraform automation with real-world TPC-DS benchmarking and enterprise-grade disaster recovery planning—skills that directly translate to building production-ready data platforms. To be successful in this project, you should have a background in SQL, basic cloud computing concepts, and familiarity with data warehouse fundamentals.

Syllabus

  • Module 1: Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to provision a cloud data warehouse
    • Learners will master the fundamentals of Infrastructure as Code by creating and deploying Terraform configurations that automatically provision complete cloud data warehouse environments with proper policies and security controls.
  • Module 2: Analyze infrastructure cost versus performance across compute and storage options
    • Learners will master systematic cost-performance analysis by executing TPC-DS benchmarks across different warehouse configurations and creating data-driven recommendations for optimal infrastructure sizing.
  • Module 3: Create a cross-region disaster recovery architecture with a 15-minute Recovery Point Objective
    • Learners will architect comprehensive disaster recovery systems by implementing cross-region replication, automated failover mechanisms, and recovery procedures that meet stringent 15-minute Recovery Point Objectives for business continuity.
