Syllabus

Data visualization with Power BI
- In this module, you will build a foundation in data visualization with Power BI. You will set up Power BI and become familiar with its interface, identify the appropriate use of different visualization types, and create a basic Power BI report. Through these foundational skills, you will learn how to present data using suitable visualizations in a clear and structured report.
Data storytelling
- In this module, you will explore how data storytelling helps communicate information effectively through Power BI reports. You will explain the process and impact of data storytelling, create a cohesive report in Power BI, and test your understanding of key data storytelling concepts. You will apply these principles to organize visual information into a clear and connected narrative.
Visualizing data
- In this module, you will develop your ability to present data effectively using Power BI visualizations. You will recognize different types of visualizations available in Power BI, add appropriate visualizations to reports, and format them to improve how information is presented. These skills will help you build well-structured visual reports for communicating data.
Final project and assessment: Microsoft Data Visualization
- In this module, you will bring together the knowledge and skills developed throughout the course. You will synthesize your learning by completing a graded assessment that applies key concepts from data visualization, storytelling, and Power BI reporting. You will also reflect on the course content and consider how your learning connects with the learning path ahead.
