Core Project Management Process

University of Maryland, College Park via Coursera

Overview

Learn to manage projects in today’s fast-changing environment using the Core Project Management Process (CPMP), designed for small to medium‑sized initiatives where speed, clarity, and stakeholder alignment matter most. CPMP gives you a simplified, end‑to‑end structure so projects are “managed enough” to deliver real value, as you define scope, align objectives, communicate effectively, and manage risk, quality, and schedule. You’ll also explore Agile CPMP, which blends agile methods with CPMP to improve teamwork and flexibility through tools like a Perpetual Tasklist and flexible sprint patterns. For added innovation, the course introduces Lean Scope Project Management (LSPM), helping you turn creative ideas into actionable, testable projects using human‑centered design, lean startup principles, and agile project management.
