Build confidence in designing, delivering, and operating Claude-powered systems and prepare for the Claude Certified Architect – Professional (CCAR-P) exam. You'll progress from structured discovery to production architecture decisions, with ShopAssist AI, a customer-support application for an online store, as the implementation reference alongside independent architecture scenarios.
Throughout the course, you'll explore:
Solution Design and Architecture: Turn stakeholder problems into measurable requirements and service commitments, map input-to-feedback architectures, choose between augmented LLMs, workflows, and agents, and coordinate multi-agent systems with verifiable stages and reliable handoffs.
Models, Prompting, and Context Engineering: Select Claude models from workload evidence, apply zero-shot, few-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting, compose templates, modules, and Skills, budget context windows, and reuse stable prefixes with prompt caching.
Retrieval and Integration: Design RAG pipelines with the right chunking, indexing, and retrieval strategy, choose progressive discovery or preloaded context, select MCP, API/CLI, or agent-to-agent integration, and close authorization gaps and capability bloat.
Evaluation and Production Operations: Define balanced scorecards, build representative datasets graded by code, model, and human review, monitor quality and drift, diagnose prompt, retrieval, and model failures, run A/B tests, and optimize cost and latency.
Governance, Stakeholders, and Team Enablement: Build risk registers, layered guardrails, and human review, translate GDPR, HIPAA, and FedRAMP requirements into architecture evidence, communicate decisions and SLA trade-offs, configure Claude Code for teams, and lead incident recovery.
By the end, you'll be able to compare viable designs, justify trade-offs with measured evidence, identify missing controls, and reason through original architecture scenarios across all seven exam domains.
