Syllabus

Blockchain for Supply Chain Management
- Blockchain technology has the potential to transform global supply chains and enhance transparency, traceability, and trust in this industry. This module shows how this technology can solve the SCM problems by examining real-world applications and explain the integration of this technology with other emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT). We also discuss the benefits and limitations of using blockchain to solve supply chain challenges.
Blockchain for Financial Services
- Blockchain technology is reshaping the landscape of financial services through faster, more secure, and more transparent solutions compared to the traditional financial systems. In this module you will explore key blockchain applications in areas such as payments, cross-border transactions, and asset tokenisation. The module provides a comprehensive overview of how the technology can support innovation while ensuring trust and compliance. We will also study real-world cases from banking and insurance to illustrate how blockchain is driving cost-efficiency and automation to financial services.
Blockchain for Government and Service Management
- This module explores how blockchain technology can transform the delivery of public services. You will learn how the technology improves transparency and reduces corruption while streamlining service workflows and enabling secure digital identities. You will also examine policy challenges that governments must consider when adopting blockchain-based platforms.
Blockchain in Practice: Barriers, Risks and Description
- This module provides a critical examination of various challenges associated with adopting blockchain technology in business contexts. While blockchain can provide business with transparency, security, and decentralisation, its implementation is not without risks. You will explore issues such as scalability, interoperability, governance, legal uncertainty, environmental impact, and user adoption barriers.

- This module takes a strategic perspective to explore how organisations in different industries can leverage blockchain technology to create and sustain a competitive advantage. You will learn how blockchain reshapes business models and enables the creation of new value networks.
