"Azure Migration, Business Continuity, and Networking Solutions is the fourth course in the AZ-305: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert specialization. It covers essential Azure services for workload migration, backup and disaster recovery, and network architecture. Key topics include Azure Migrate, Database Migration Service, HADR for IaaS/PaaS, Virtual Networks, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Front Door, and Traffic Manager. This course is structured into two modules, each containing Lessons and Video Lectures. Learners will engage with approximately 5:00-5:30 hours of video content, covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice. Welcome to Week 1 of the Azure Migration and Business Continuity Solutions course. This week, we’ll dive into Azure’s core migration and continuity services. We’ll start with an overview of Azure Migration Services and walk through how to assess your on-premises workloads. Then, we’ll explore the Azure Storage Migration Service and Storage Mover to understand data transfer options. Next, we’ll cover the Azure Migration Framework and explore the Azure Database Migration Service for seamless database transitions. You’ll also learn about the Azure Import & Export Service and Azure File Sync to manage and move data efficiently. By the end of the week, we’ll explore Azure Backup & Recovery Service Vault, with a hands-on demo for backup and restore operations. We’ll also examine high availability for Azure Blob, Data Lake, and SQL DB, and review HADR options for both IaaS and PaaS deployments—including a practical look at IaaS disaster recovery solutions, Azure VM/File backups, and HBase on HDInsight.

Azure Networking and Security Solutions for Optimized Performance

Welcome to Week 2 of the Azure Networking and Security Solutions for Optimized Performance course. This week, we'll dive into Azure's core networking and security services. We’ll start with an overview of Azure Networking Services and walk through demos on setting up Azure Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, and Application Security Groups. Next, we’ll explore Azure NAT Gateway, VPN Gateway (with a demo), and ExpressRoute to understand connectivity and secure access strategies. We’ll then move into advanced security and traffic management services including Azure Firewall, Front Door, Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager. By the end of the week, we’ll cover key security models like Zero Trust and Defense-in-Depth, helping you design optimized and secure network architectures for scalable cloud solutions.
