Overview

"Azure Compute Solutions introduces learners to core compute services in Azure. This is the third course in the Exam Prep AZ-305: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert specialization. The course covers Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Container Apps, ACI, AKS, App Service, App Configuration, Azure Functions, and Azure Batch. Key topics include serverless computing, containerized deployments, and batch processing, with demos on Azure Functions bindings and Batch exception handling. This course is structured into two modules, each containing Lessons and Video Lectures. Learners will engage with approximately 5:00-6:30 hours of video content, covering both theoretical concepts and hands-on practice. Each module is supplemented with quizzes to assess learners' understanding and reinforce key concepts. Welcome to Week 1 of the Azure Compute and Application Architecture Solutions course. This week, we'll dive into Azure's core compute services. We’ll start with an overview of Azure Virtual Machines and walk through the steps to create one. Then, we’ll explore Azure Container Apps, Azure Container Instances (ACI), and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to understand containerized workloads. Next, we’ll cover Azure App Service and Azure App Configuration for deploying and managing web applications. You’ll also get hands-on with Azure Functions, including a demo on implementing input and output bindings. By the end of the week , we’ll explore Azure Batch Service and its processing technologies, with a focus on configuring exception handling, batch retention, and error detection for scalable, large-volume workloads.

Azure Application Architecture Solutions

"Welcome to Week 2 of the Azure Compute and Application Architecture Solutions course. This week, we'll explore Azure messaging and event-driven services essential for building scalable and decoupled applications. We’ll begin with an overview of Azure Service Bus, followed by a demo on implementing solutions using Service Bus queues. Then, we’ll dive into Azure Queue Storage and demonstrate how to use it effectively in distributed applications. Midweek, we’ll shift focus to Azure Event Grid, with two demos highlighting its event-handling capabilities. You'll also be introduced to Azure Stream Analytics and other stream processing technologies used for real-time data processing. Finally, we’ll explore Azure Event Hubs, including a demo on integrating it into solutions, and discuss how to recommend appropriate Azure API integration solutions for various scenarios.
