The AWS Security, Identity & Cost Management course provides foundational knowledge of AWS identity management, cloud security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization. Learners will explore IAM users, groups, roles, and policies, along with IAM best practices such as least privilege access and MFA. The course also covers AWS Organizations, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor, and AWS Marketplace to help learners understand governance, cloud cost management, and operational optimization. In addition, learners will explore AWS security services including Amazon GuardDuty, Amazon Inspector, AWS Security Hub, AWS KMS, AWS Certificate Manager, Amazon Macie, AWS Artifact, AWS Knowledge Center, and AWS Security Blog. This course is structured into two modules with approximately 5–7 hours of video content and quizzes to reinforce learning. AWS Identity Management & Cost Optimization

Welcome to AWS Identity Management & Cost Optimization module, you’ll focus on managing access and optimizing costs in AWS environments. We’ll begin with Amazon IAM, Users, Groups, Policies and MFA, helping you understand how to securely control access to AWS resources. You’ll also explore IAM Best Practices along with hands-on demos for IAM Users and IAM Groups, IAM Policies, and IAM Roles, enabling you to implement effective identity and access management strategies.Next, you’ll learn how to manage multiple accounts and enforce governance using AWS Organizations, providing a structured approach to account management at scale.As the week progresses, you’ll explore cost management and optimization tools, including AWS Cost Explorer and Cost Explorer - Demo, to monitor and analyze AWS spending. You’ll also gain insights into AWS Trusted Advisor for optimization recommendations and AWS Marketplace for discovering and deploying third-party solutions.By the end of this week, you’ll be equipped to manage identities securely, implement governance across accounts, and monitor and optimize costs effectively in AWS.

Welcome to the AWS Security module, you’ll focus on AWS security services that help you detect threats, protect data, and maintain compliance across your cloud environment. We’ll begin with services like Amazon Inspector and Amazon GuardDuty, enabling you to identify vulnerabilities and continuously monitor for suspicious activity.Next, you’ll explore AWS Security Center, AWS Artifact, and AWS Certificate Manager, helping you manage security posture, access compliance reports, and handle SSL/TLS certificates for secure communication.As we move forward, you’ll dive into data protection and encryption using AWS Key Management Service (KMS) and Amazon Macie, allowing you to safeguard sensitive data and detect potential data exposure risks.Finally, you’ll be introduced to valuable learning and support resources such as the AWS Knowledge Center and AWS Security Blog, helping you stay updated with best practices, troubleshooting guidance, and the latest security insights.By the end of this week, you’ll have a strong understanding of AWS security services and be equipped to enhance the security, compliance, and data protection posture of your AWS environments.
