Master advanced virtual networking, enterprise storage management, resource allocation, and security in VMware vSphere 8.x—skills essential for managing complex, high-availability virtual infrastructures. Through hands-on labs and real-world scenarios, you’ll gain the practical expertise needed to design, optimize, and secure enterprise-scale environments with confidence. Start by configuring and troubleshooting distributed switches, VLANs, NIC teaming, and advanced network security policies to ensure robust and efficient virtual networking. You’ll implement traffic shaping, private VLANs, and diagnostic tools to maintain performance and security at scale. Next, dive into vSphere storage management—work with SAN, NAS, VMFS, and NFS datastores, planarchitecture for performance and scalability, and perform live migrations with Storage vMotion. You’ll troubleshoot storage issues, optimize I/O performance, and use ESXCLI for in-depth diagnostics. Then, explore resource management and high availability—allocate CPU and memory effectively, set up and fine-tune HA and DRS, leverage capacity planning, and implement EVC for smooth vMotion operations across clusters. The course concludes with performance optimization, upgrade planning, and implementing RBAC to enforce secure, role-based administration. By the end of this course, you will be able to: -Configure and secure advanced virtual networking in vSphere. -Design and manage enterprise storage infrastructure. -Implement HA, DRS, and capacity planning for optimized clusters. -Perform performance tuning and plan vSphere upgrades. This course is ideal for VMware administrators, virtualization engineers, network and storage specialists, and IT professionals preparing for the Vmware Data center virtualisation. Whether your goal is exam readiness or production excellence, this course equips you to excel in both. Syllabus

  • Advanced Virtual Networking
    • This module dives into advanced concepts of VMware virtual networking, covering the architecture, configuration, and management of virtual switches, VLANs, and network adapters. Learners will explore advanced features such as NIC teaming, load balancing, security policies, traffic shaping, and private VLANs to design secure and efficient virtual network environments. The module also emphasizes troubleshooting skills, equipping learners with the ability to diagnose, monitor, and resolve networking issues in vSphere environments while aligning with industry best practices and security principles.
  • vSphere Storage Management
    • This module covers enterprise-grade storage management in vSphere, beginning with SAN, NAS, and local storage types, along with protocols like Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and VMFS. You’ll plan and implement optimal storage architectures, create and expand datastores, and configure Storage vMotion for workload mobility. Storage I/O Control and capacity monitoring techniques ensure peak performance, while the troubleshooting section equips you to resolve latency, throughput, and connectivity issues—using both GUI and ESXCLI diagnostics.
  • Resource Management and High Availability
    • In this module, you’ll learn to manage resources effectively through allocation policies, resource pools, and contention resolution strategies. You’ll implement and fine-tune HA to safeguard workloads against host failures, exploring heartbeat settings, admission control, and failover strategies. Then you’ll configure DRS for workload balancing, apply automation policies, and optimize using DRS scores. You’ll also master EVC settings to ensure smooth cross-host vMotion operations in mixed CPU environments.
  • Performance Optimization and Upgrades
    • This module focuses on fine-tuning vSphere performance through targeted optimization of compute, storage, and network resources. You’ll explore BIOS-level settings, hardware integration best practices, and cluster-level performance strategies. The second part walks you through upgrade planning, including compatibility checks, sequencing best practices, and recovery options—ensuring a smooth transition to newer vSphere versions without business disruption.
  • Role-Based Access Control and Security
    • The final module focuses on secure access management using vSphere RBAC. You’ll learn the architecture of RBAC, define roles and privileges, manage users and groups, and implement security policies covering authentication, network protections, and ESXi host hardening. Hands-on labs provide experience in creating custom roles and applying them to secure your virtual environment against unauthorized access and potential threats.
