Part 6: Ultimate Voice Acting – Bringing It All Together
It’s all been building to this. Technique, imagination, acting, physicality, reflexes, instincts—it’s time to blend them together, under pressure, with confidence.
Ultimate Voice Acting – Bringing It All Together is the culminating session of the series, designed to integrate every skill developed in the previous classes into a unified, repeatable performance process. Ideally, you’ve participated in the previous parts for the greatest benefit.
Led by pro voice actor and Edge Studio’s own Joshua Wise, this HIGHLY-interactive capstone gives students the opportunity to apply the complete voice acting toolkit in real time, and move on to booking more work.
What You’ll Learn in This Class
1. Reviewing the full system with new perspective
- Rather than repeating previous material, this section revisits all major concepts from the series through fresh application. Students see how:
- Acting choices drive vocal and physical response
- Physical engagement supports imagination
- Improv tools accelerate self-direction
- Technique serves intention, not the other way around
- This review helps solidify the system as a cohesive whole.
2. Physical and vocal integration
- This portion is fully standing and highly physical, using integrated vocal and physical exercises to reconnect the body, breath, and voice. You’ll explore:
- How to separate the practice first, then bring it together
- Transitioning smoothly from warm-up to performance
- Keeping the body engaged without overworking
- Supporting vocal clarity through physical readiness
3. Presenting prepared material with purpose
- You’re encouraged to bring a script of your choice from the Script Library to work with in class, applying the full range of tools developed throughout the series. Volunteers will be accommodated if needed, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to observe, participate, and learn.
- You do NOT need to have the script rehearsed or memorized; simply chosen and reviewed. Please keep it to no longer than a single paragraph (roughly 20-30 seconds max).
4. Final questions and wrap-up
- We’ll end with questions, reflection, and discussion, giving you space to clarify lingering challenges and connect the dots across the entire series. This final exchange reinforces confidence and provides direction for continued practice beyond the class.

By the end, you’ll:
- Perform confidently without juggling techniques
