This advanced Twinmotion course builds on foundational skills to focus on exterior rendering and animation for architectural visualization. Students will learn to link Revit building models with 3D site context, unify them with materials, landscaping, and lighting, and produce polished exterior renderings suited for client presentations, city approvals, and marketing. The course covers everything from Revit model preparation and site integration to environmental settings, entourage, decals, and interior lighting, culminating in a set of high quality still renderings across multiple lighting conditions including daylight, sunset, and rain.
The second half of the course shifts into animation, where students develop a structured, cinematic sequence using camera movement strategies, dynamic environmental settings, and moving assets including people paths and vehicular traffic. Students will storyboard their animation, build and refine individual clips, and combine them into a final one minute video using post production tools. By the end of the course, students will have a complete workflow for producing both compelling exterior renderings and fully animated architectural sequences that communicate design intent to clients, developers, and the public.
By completing this course, you will have developed expertise in:
Navigate the Twinmotion 2025 interface and use core tools for efficient project setup and management.
Import and export Revit and SketchUp models into Twinmotion with real-time synchronization.
Apply and customize exterior materials, lighting, and landscaping to enhance design realism.
Configure natural and artificial lighting to set the atmosphere and support visual storytelling.
Develop and manage camera views for optimized scene composition and presentation.
Produce and export dynamic animations that clearly communicate building designs.
