Throughout this workshop, you will learn how to adjust your presentation strategy to appeal to various audience types and individual personalities within those audiences. You will develop skills in crafting compelling presentations and quickly translating your ideas into professional PowerPoint presentations.
Class activities will focus on using physical space effectively, configuring your presentation environment optimally, and leveraging your personal qualities such as tone of voice and physical gestures. A substantial portion of class time will be devoted to hands-on presentation practice, where you will be asked to deliver a brief presentation under five minutes in length. If you wish to bring along a PowerPoint presentation or supplementary materials, the instructor will give you guidance on using them productively.
