Overview

Make Delicious Handwrapped Tamales

Tamales are filled and hand-wrapped gifts of masa deliciousness. Discover what makes these Mexican delicacies so special as you fill and wrap (surprisingly easily!) your own hand-formed bites of wonder.

This hands-on, live-streaming class will teach you step-by-step everything you need to know to make better than most restaurant tamales.

We will soften the corn husks, prep your fillings, prepare your masa; and form, fill, wrap your tamales, and put them on the stove to steam.

At the end of class, you'll have a dozen steamed to perfection tamales to enjoy/

Ingredients and supplies you'll need:

  • Masa Harina (available in the flour aisle)
  • Corn husks - (usually in the produce dept.)
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Warm Water
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Stock Pot with (optional) steamer insert
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Large Spoon
  • Tongs
  • A filling of your choice: Shredded Cooked Chicken, Beef, Pork, or  Cheese and Green Chilies
