Learn to make soap from scratch using the cold process method! This hands-on class covers everything you need to create beautiful handmade soaps at home. Perfect for beginners and experienced soap makers alike. Dress accordingly and get ready for a fun, creative experience! (Class is hands on; please dress accordingly.)
This class is delivered online via the Zoom platform. Upon registration, each participant will receive a list of the supplies and ingredients needed for candle making. Then you can follow the instructions during the class presentation and have your first sample by the end if the class. Please know purchasing your supplies ahead of time is NOT mandatory but suggested.
This course falls under the Personal, Social, Civic, and Environmental Responsibility Institutional Level Outcomes (ILOs).
Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Make soap from scratch using different types of soap bases, colors, scents, aromatherapy oils and essential oils.
- Make chemical free herbal and natural soaps.
- Locate and purchase soap making products.
- Make gift soaps, gift baskets and possibly start their own business.
