In this course, you will learn to use Lightroom and Photoshop together to dramatically accelerate your workflow and reduce editing time. You will discover when to use each program and how to efficiently transfer images between them. Lightroom functions as a database and catalog system for all your images. You will learn to import, organize, correct, and apply creative color effects in Lightroom using both global and local editing tools. The course also covers merging multiple exposures and creating panoramas within Lightroom.
You will also develop skills in using Lightroom to handle high-volume image organization, including complete post-capture workflow management. This includes offloading content from your memory card to your computer or external drive, assessing, rating, tagging, organizing, searching, editing, sharing, and outputting images for various purposes.
Lightroom enables non-destructive changes, maintaining a complete record of every edit you make in the Develop module. You effectively have unlimited undos indefinitely since changes are only applied when you export a copy of your image, keeping your originals always accessible.
In Photoshop, you will learn practical techniques for combining photos, professional-level retouching, creating precise selections, masking, converting photos into paintings and pencil sketches, and adding creative blur effects to your images.
Photoshop excels when you need to make precise selections and targeted adjustments. Use Photoshop to select and mask detailed areas, remove and reposition objects, and enhance photos with text or other nonphotographic artwork. You will learn skills needed to use Photoshop for design, illustration, 3D, and video work.
Whether images were created in Photoshop or Lightroom, you will learn to manage output for various project types, including slideshows, books, fine art-style signed print layouts, and other print templates. You will also learn to set up output for social media and web galleries.

Prerequisites:
Students should have experience with Photoshop and working knowledge of skills covered in Core Skills: Level 1. Specifically, you should understand the work area, be able to make basic photo selections and corrections, and understand layering, masks, and channels.
