Adobe software functions essentially the same across Mac and PC platforms. When you take this class from one of our locations, it will be taught using PC hardware with Windows software; however, minor Mac keyboard and interface differences will be highlighted and explained by the instructor. When taking this course remotely from home or office, you may use either PC or Mac hardware with access to hosted Windows-based Adobe software.
This course includes a comprehensive introduction to Creative Cloud overall, covering how to use the Creative Cloud panel and understanding the various services included in a Creative Cloud subscription. You will develop the core skills required to work effectively in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop. This course prepares you to take advanced courses in these three powerful applications.
Ideal Student Profile: This course is appropriate for beginners and for anyone who is self-taught in the basics of Creative Cloud. Even experienced users frequently discover they benefit from a Core Skills class to fill in knowledge gaps and improve their overall proficiency.
Prerequisites: Basic computer and file management skills are required for Core Skills level Adobe courses. You should be comfortable with locating, copying, and opening files; creating folders; arranging, resizing, minimizing, and maximizing application windows; starting and exiting programs; managing multiple programs simultaneously; and switching between open applications.
