This course introduces the core security concepts that shape operations on the Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) platform. You’ll learn how GDC’s architecture and security principles protect data and systems across hybrid and edge environments, and explore the structure of the GDC Security Operations Center (SOC) as well as the SecOps roles responsible for visibility, policy enforcement, and threat response.

Learn how these teams collaborate to maintain compliance, strengthen organizational resilience, and apply GDC’s built-in security processes to detect and respond to incidents in real time.
