This course covers critical operational aspects, including Kubernetes and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) security, essential logging and monitoring techniques, and explores how to use Google Cloud managed storage and database services from within GKE.

This is the second course of the Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine series.

Syllabus

  • Learn how to apply various security measures, including Kubernetes Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Workload Identity, and Pod security
  • Understand and implement security best practices for the Kubernetes control plane
  • Use Google Cloud Observability, including Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring, to inspect logs and configure GKE-Native Monitoring and Logging
  • Connect and use Google Cloud managed storage services and databases, such as Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL
  • Learn to construct and implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, using Google Cloud tools like Google Cloud Deploy
