Free courses in the order a front end developer actually needs them: HTML for structure, CSS for layout, JavaScript for behaviour, TypeScript for safety, React and Next.js for real applications, Git to ship, and eight projects to prove it. Every lesson runs in your browser and every course before the projects step ends with a free certificate.
Overview
Syllabus
- Learn HTML — Elements, attributes, headings, links, images, lists, tables, forms and semantic markup. Everything a browser renders starts as HTML, and writing it well is what makes the CSS and JavaScript steps easy.
- Learn HTML — Selectors, the box model, colours and typography, then flexbox, grid, responsive layouts, transitions and animation across two sections. This is the step where a page starts to look like the ones you use.
- Learn JavaScript — Fundamentals, logic and control flow, then objects and classes, in three sections. Front end work is JavaScript work; every framework after this step is only a way of organising it, and it is readable only once the language is.
- Learn HTML — The DOM, events, fetching data and building interactive pages without a framework, then practical front end patterns. This is where HTML, CSS and JavaScript become one thing: a page that responds to the person using it.
- Learn TypeScript — Types, interfaces, generics and the compiler's errors as a tool. Nearly every professional React codebase is TypeScript, so it comes right before the framework rather than as an afterthought.
- Learn React - Free Interactive Course — Components, props, state, hooks and rendering, then Next.js for routing, data loading and real applications. The framework most front end jobs list, taught after the language it is written in.
- Learn Git & Version Control — Commits, branches, merging, resolving conflicts and remotes. Every front end job and every portfolio project lives in a Git repository; learning it here means the projects in the next step are shipped the way real work is.
- CSS Flexbox - The Complete Course — Flexbox and selectors drills, DOM and array-method practice, then real builds: a Coddy profile card, an Instagram page, a Netflix sign-in page and an image slider. Each one is a portfolio piece a recruiter can open.
