The main storyline from the 1989 movie Field of Dreams was “If you build it, he will come.” The founders of the National High School Baseball Coaches Association undoubtedly hoped for the same Hollywood outcome when the NHSBCA was “built” in 1991 to fulfill a need and desire of the coaches. But probably wondered if they (the coaches) would come? As demonstrated by initial robust membership and the first NHSBCA national convention in 1992 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana, the answer was a resounding “Yes”. Since then, that answer has been repeatedly reaffirmed as the organization has continued to grow and succeed in its mission to assist high school baseball coaches.

The recently concluded 2023 HSBCA national convention at The Camby, Autograph Collection in Phoenix, Arizona was clearly again evidence of a “Yes”. The three-day event featured eighteen different clinics by MLB, college, and high school coaches enthusiastically sharing winner-proven tips, techniques, guidance and advice.
