I really appreciate that their a course here in Canvas that discusses and teaches about what copyright is, because now that we are in the 21st Century, we tend to take everything for granted such as sets of knowledge and information. All of them are just one click away, and at times because of that all-access freedom, we usually forgot to give credit or at least acknowledge our sources and see everything as a "free real estate". I definitely learned a lot and this course really clarified all my confusions and uncertainties in regards to topics like this especially on how fundamental this is, be it on my academic and personal life and integrity.

So, thank you very much and I appreciate it.

I highly recommend the course “Copyright for Educators (K-12/HE)” via Canvas Network. The course was well organized, informative, and very relevant for educators. It helped me better understand copyright laws, fair use, Creative Commons licensing, and how to use digital resources responsibly in the classroom.

The lessons were easy to follow and included practical examples that I can apply directly in my teaching. I especially appreciated the focus on real-world classroom situations and student creativity. This course increased my confidence in using and sharing educational materials legally and ethically.

I really enjoyed this course. It was broken into manageable sections. I felt I was at the lecture. It was very well done! I liked the different chapters and especially enjoyed the video where we were asked to pause the video and watch a clip of the T- Rex autopsy by National Geographic.

I would rate this course as very good. The course was well-organized, easy to follow, and provided useful information that I can apply to my personal and professional goals. The course was good and had some great information on the copyright in the classroom subject. At times I was thinking some of the videos were a bit childish but the information is valuable.

The copyright seminar/module I attended was a valuable and enlightening experience. One aspect I particularly appreciated was the interactive nature of the seminar/module. It´s an interesting course since establishes and defines important terms, providing a wide-open view about what you could do or use when you create or use some materials.
Additionally, it was very important to identify sites that you could use for materials that don't require any special permission for their use.

Thank you for the resources to help me teach my students about fair use of copyright media. My students need to be able to get images and short clips without breaking the law. In a digital age world we need to learn as much as possible. I also want to respect and promote more artistic and creative work. It is important that my students know that their creations are protected and that they can show the same respect to others work.

Copyright is important to the future of creativity and the Internet.
Beyond the students’ immediate needs, the future of both creativity and the Internet will be affected by how citizens choose to interact with creative work. We all want to encourage great new books, music, games, movies, and art for everyone to enjoy. We want our work respected when we make creations of our own. And we want all this creativity to spur yet more, with artists and creators building on creative work that has come before. To keep creativity flowing in a world where publishing and copying are so easy, we look to copyright and fair use.
More broadly, to keep the Internet functioning in a free and open manner, it is important for citizens to choose to live ethically in their digital environments. Online ethics are crucial, in copyright as in other areas, because we all have an interest in promoting digital spaces where people understand the civic boundaries and choose to play fair
