This is one of six courses in the Entry-Level Healthcare: Client Care program offered by Osmosis from Elsevier. This course reviews with learners the principles and guidelines for performing restorative care activities with/for clients in an effective and compassionate way.

Syllabus

  • Perform care for clients safely and compassionately
  • Perform common procedures using a safe and sterile approach
  • Identify the normal range of motion and mobility for a client
  • Recognize how to slowly build a client's capacity with daily exercises and conditioning
  • Perform restorative care with compassion and safety in mind
  • Identify the signs and symptoms of common mental health illnesses in a client population
  • Describe interventions that can help improve a person's well being through regular practice
  • Model good communication skills for clients and professional staff
