If you require accommodation, please contact AWS Training and Certification Customer Support.

Learners will discover how to run fast analytical queries directly against raw log and trace data in Amazon OpenSearch Service using PPL and SQL, without needing to move or reshape the data first. The course walks through a real incident investigation, demonstrating multi-dimensional breakdowns, latency distributions, error rates, and fleet sizing queries. Learners will also understand how the optimized engine works under the hood -- using columnar Apache Parquet storage, Apache DataFusion for vectorized execution, and Apache Calcite for query planning -- and how it intelligently routes operations between columnar scans and inverted indexes for optimal performance.
