Learners will gain an understanding of how to migrate VMware block storage workloads to Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP using AWS Transform. The course covers why VMware environments depend on enterprise storage features -- such as high availability, snapshots, clones, deduplication, and multi-protocol access -- and the challenges of preserving these capabilities during cloud migration. Participants will learn how AWS Transform automates discovery, planning, and execution, enabling a coordinated migration of compute, networking, and storage in a single wave with non-disruptive testing, built-in failback, and atomic cutover to maintain enterprise storage functionality from Day 1.
